According to the Witness He Spent around 14 Hours at the 6th Police Department

Former head of “RA Judicial Department” State administrative institution Misak Martirosyan and others` case was launched today (11 November) at the Court of general jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash Communities with the investigation of the bribe episode.

Former head of Logistics department Arthur Yeghiazaryan testified. He had been holding that position since 2010. He was asked about Armen Petrosyan. According to the accusation, Armen Petrosyan was hired at this institution due to giving large amounts of bribe. Angin Ghukasyan was accused of receiving huge amounts of bribe for hiring Armen Petrosyan and Mikayel Stepanyan, and acting in preliminary agreement with the head of “RA Judicial Department” state administrative institution Misak Martirosyan, within the period of July-November 2010. The witness told that Armen Petrosyan was accepted to his department, but he didn`t know about it as he was on a vacation.

Misak Martirosyan asked other questions to the witness as well and then stated there were contradictions in his testimonies. He said that the defense found out from the Judicial Department that the witness was on vacation until 8 November, 2010, while Armen Petrosyan`s hiring decree was dated to 10 November.

During the questioning, Misak Martirosyan also asked how many hours the witness was kept at the office of the investigator, and he answered that the questioning lasted for 14 hours. “I entered the 6th Department of the Police (RA General Police Department on the fight against organized crime) at night and went out at around 12 in the morning”.
