Today the court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork Marash Communities, presided by judge Arshak Vardanyan, went on with the trial on the case of former head of “RA Judiciial Department” state administrative institution Misak Martirosyan and others.
According to the accusation, an organized criminal group was functioning in the case, presumably led by Misak Martirosyan and assisted by Armen Movsisyan, head of the Judicial Bailiffs department. The group was formed of other officials of the Institution, namelyGegham Grigoryan, Gagik Khachatryan, Eghiazar Sargsyan, Satenik Hovhannisyan, Narek Gasparyan, Meruzhan Kyureghyan, Bagrat Ariktsyan, Arman Palikyan, Armen Avagyan, and also a non-official Yura Mushkidyanov. The group had a certain allocation of roles, and in the period of August 2009 to August 2013 abusing their official powers they enraptured an especially huge amount of money (115.782.033 AMD) specified as job salary and equal payments of the Institution.
99 witnesses have been questioned on this case.
Today there were also hearings of witnesses of another case, not related to this one. But those questioned have been accused before on the case of Misak Martirosyan and others, and a part of that case has been separated. The court considered unjustified the petitions of the defendants` lawyers` requests to investigate cases separately: “Separating those cases does not derive from the legal requirements of court proceedings. They are closely interconnected, as in both cases the accusations are on the case of receiving bribe”, mentioned the judge.
The accused Armen Mirzoyan, Arman Malkhasyan, Artak Gevorgyan, Armen Petrosyan, Tatul Ghukasyan and Gagik Abrahamyan refused to testify, stating that they had already given testimony during the preliminary investigation. Their testimony was publicly read.
It became clear that the First Deputy to the head of Judicial Bailiffs Service Gegham Grigoryan has ordered them to include in the staff list names of some dozen citizens, and different citizen names have been given to each of them. After a while of those citizens not appearing at the workplace the heads of department stated that they are on a working trip, and the accused did not take any actions on resolving the issue.
From Armen Mirzoyan`s testimony it became clear that Gegham Grigoryan was receiving money with other peoples` work account of bank.
The court decided to send notes to those who didn`t attend today`s hearing. And then decided to set court sittings on every Monday.
