Pursuant to Article 3 of the RA Law on “Social Security of Servicemen and Members of their Families”,
Persons equated to the military are:
a) Persons called to military training,
b) Participants of the defense combat activities for the protection of the Republic of Armenia and freedom fighters

Persons who participated in the battles for the protection of the Republic of Armenia, are provided the status of combatants in the manner prescribed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
