Law of RA on Identity Card fully regulates the theses on getting an identity card.
The Identity card is a document corroborating RA citizen’s the identity (citizen from now) and the citizenship of the Republic of Armenia. The document is foreseen to be used within the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
A citizen receives an identity card voluntary, after becoming 16 years old.
The citizen presents an application on receiving an identity card at a police department. The capable citizen himself/herself presents the application on receiving an identity card.
The Identity card is given with terms of 10-year-valididty.
Article 14 of the law of Ra on State Duty states that for providing an identification card the amount of three-fold of the base duty, i.e. 3000 AMD is charged.
