“He said with a cheerful face: ‘Brother, I’m going, everything will be fine'”: About Harutyun Rafayelyan who died immortally in the war

Harutyun Vrezh Rafayelyan participated in the large-scale war unleashed by Azerbaijan on September 27, 2020, and became immortal.

32-year-old Rafael had many goals that he was supposed to accomplish with his younger brother, Arthur. “It was a dream to communicate with him,” says Arthur, and tells about their plans within the framework of Iravaban.net‘s “Immortal Victims of the Artsakh War” series.

“He was never ill-disposed towards anyone, even people who didn’t deserve good treatment. No matter how much we fought, we loved each other even more. We had a very good relationship. We worked together from a young age. We wanted to have our own business. Harut had studied very well. If he were here now, we would definitely have what we wanted,” says Arthur.

The father, Vrezh Bozoyan, recounts that his son served very well in the army, he was a senior sergeant. Describing his son, he says that he was a very virtuous boy.

“He had gone out, he was supposed to go to work, then he came back, came home. I asked, ‘Why did you come back?’ He said he demanded not to go, but he didn’t listen, took his military ID and hurried to the military commissariat. It was impossible to hold him back,” says the father.

“With a cheerful face, he said, ‘Brother, I’m going, everything will be fine’,” Arthur remembers and says that the last conversation with his brother was on October 6.
