On 29 April, a 7th grade student lost consciousness during an event organized at Vahan Zatikyan Primary School No. 90, and then died in the hospital.
Iravaban.net spoke with the director of the school Ms Siramarg Khotsanyan.
She emphasized that 13-year-old Lilia had no heart problems.
“There was no such thing, neither in her medical records of the school nor in the polyclinic’s records, nor did her parents ever say such a thing. The child has been going in for dancing since the first grade.
Her parents were very attentive and consistent. Her mother brought the child to and taook from school every day. The child participated in everything, took an active part in all projects, always danced on stages. Perhaps that child did not even complain, neither from the heart nor from anywhere else,” she said.
According to the director of the school, the child did not complain about feeling bad even on the day of the incident.
“That day was the International Day of Dance, our dance leader did not even call the children early, she allowed the children to eat bread, drink water at home, and come early so that they do not get tired. The event started at 14:20. We were all sitting in the hall. The child danced the first dance. Then she had to dance the 3rd or 4th dance, while dancing she put her on her heart and fell. She fell so quietly that everyone thought it was some kind of dance movement. At that moment, everyone went up to the stage, brought the child to consciousness and took her out of the hall.
She came to consciousness. We thought maybe she was excited, a thousand things could have happened. Outside, she said to her sister: “Leave me alone, I don’t need anything” and she suddenly got worse again. We quickly called an ambulance. All this lasted for 8-9 minutes, during which she was taken to the hospital. Before arriving at the emergency aid, we were in constant contact with the doctors, they told us what to do, what help to provide. They took her to the hospital in 2 minutes. The doctors worked for an hour and a half, all the doctors were there,” Mrs. Khotsanyan said.
The director emphasized that the girl had never complained about her health condition before the incident.
According to the director of the school, when the forensic examination will be completed, everyone will know what happened, at the moment no one can say for sure.
