Kaits Vanikyan began painting from childhood but has always taken it seriously. He says he even remembers what he drew at age 3: “And interestingly, there are themes that keep recurring to this day—women with flowers, or flowers on heads, such interesting things existed.

In painting, I feel like a worker; while for many it’s a pleasant activity, for me it’s also somewhat laborious. I come in the morning and must stay until midnight.”
The artist’s words reveal a deep dedication to work, self-sacrifice, and at the same time an inner struggle. He doesn’t paint solely for pleasure, as many might imagine about an artist, but does it as a duty, as a heavy but inevitable responsibility. This is more reminiscent of a master craftsman’s mindset.
This testifies to emotionality and responsibility. Such a painter can be compared to a builder, constructing a world from scratch—from wood, paint, silence, and light.

He is confident that this is a form of self-expression, a search, and also mentions a process of self-purification. The twelfth part of the “Mystery of Creation” video series, implemented within the framework of the “ZArt” cultural project by Iravaban.net, provides an interesting opportunity to penetrate this world.
“ZArt” has a special mission: to build a bridge between art and society. The project aims to present Armenian artists and their exceptional works not only to Armenian society but also to the diaspora and abroad, contributing to the popularization of art and the recognition of artists. Through this series of videos, society comes closer to art, and artists to society, creating a beautiful space for cultural understanding.

“In general, an artist is an intermediary between art and society, like a telephone wire, isn’t it? He is that wire. That is, he conveys some information to the viewer, to society. Art has problems, and in many cases, the problems of art are not yet fully clear; they depend on time, era—depending on what problems art solves in which era,” says Kaits Vanikyan.
