This morning Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan has summoned a meeting on the occasion of the large-scale offensive operations undertaken by the enemy in the night of 1 to 2 April along the entire contact line of the Karabakh and Azerbaijnai Armed Forces. RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan, Minister-Chief of RA Government Staff Davit Harutyunyan, RA Minister of Health Armen Muradyna, RA Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan, RA Deputy Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan, RA Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan participated in the meeting.
The RA Prime Minister has noted that these unprecedented operations are yet another undisguised manifestation of the Azerbaijani policy that is targeted at ruining the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, “The Armenian Armed Forces keep the situation under complete control by inflicting significant losses to the enemy and throwing the adversary back. The state institutions of the Republic of Armenia are ready to use their whole power in taking necessary steps aimed at the stabilization of the situation.”
RA MD Deputy Minister Davit Tonoyan mentioned in his report about the situation that the enemy has initiated unprecedented operations ever since 1994. As of the moment, active military action continues on the contact line of the Karabakh and Azerbaijnai Armed Forces. The Armenian Army has given the adversary due response.
Apart from giving recommendations to the respective agencies, RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan stressed the importance of providing the public with accurate information in a timely manner.
