An international driver’s license is given during one working day for participating in the international automobile traffic on the basis of the driver’s license. International driver’s licenses of driving․
“A” and “B” category and “A1” and “B1” subcategory vehicles are given to people who are at least 18, and international licenses of driving “C”, “D”, “BE”, “CE”, “DE” category and “C1”, “D1”, “C1E”, “D1E” subcategory vehicles are given to at least 21 year old people.
For obtaining international driver’s license people should present the following documents to the examination body:
1. A passport or another identification document, and in case of absence of information about the person’s factual place of living, he/she should also present a document of the residence place.
2. A receipt of state tribute defined by law for obtaining the driver’s license, a driving certificate (in case of taking part in the qualification exams for obtaining license of driving new category (subcategory) vehicles, and in case of exchanging the driver’s license or obtaining an international driver’s license), as well as a colored photo of 3×4 cm size. The international driving licenses are signed by the head of the examination body (subdivision) and sealed with the seal intended for the confirmation of international traffic documents, and the allowed norms of driving transportation means are marked with a stamp.
We would also like to mention that the national driver’s license is given for ten, and the international driving license – for three years, but no longer than the term of the operation of the national driving license or the statement of medical accreditation.
