The Investigation Department of Malatia-Sebastia Administrative Districts of Yerevan Investigation Department charged two persons in the framework of the criminal case for causing involuntary death as a result of breaking the Safety measures and negligence.
The preliminary investigation revealed that on 15.07.2014, changing operation of the disconnecting switch under the maintenance and service of ”Baghramyan” electric network were carried out. Members of the brigade that carried out the work A. Hagoyan and Kh.Nersisyan failed to install the portable ground connection, and as a result it caused electrocution and death of another member of the staff K.Sargsyan.
By the combination of the obtained evidence A . Hagoyan and Kh. Nersisyan were charged under the Article 157, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code.
Note: The suspect or the accused of the alleged offence is deemed innocent unless his or her innocence is proved by virtue of the effective court verdict in the manner prescribed by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
