Abandonment of the site of road accident shall raise criminal responsibility and the person may be punished with imprisonment for the term of up to 2 years.
Article 244 of the RA criminal Code provides, “Abandonment of the site of road accident by the driver of the means of transportation who breached the traffic rules or rules of operation of the means of transportation, in the case of consequences envisaged in Article 242 of this Code, is punished with a fine in the amount of up to 100-250 minimal salaries (100,000 – 250,000AMD), or with arrest for the term of up to 3 months, or with imprisonment for the term of up to 2 years, with or without deprivation of the right to hold certain posts or practice certain activities for up to 3 years.”
The consequences provide in Article 242 of the RA Criminal Code are: negligently causing grave or medium-gravity damage to human health, negligently causing the death of 2 or more persons,
