Embassy of the Russian Federation issued a statement on the death of Seryozha Avetisyan. The statement reads that the Russian people mourn with Armenian nation։
“We mourn together with the Armenian nation.
Until the last minute we all hoped and prayed for Seryozha Avetisyan, whose life tried to save the Armenian and Russian doctors. Unfortunately, the miracle did not happen, even though we all were waiting for it much and believed in it.
Loss of a child – the terrible grief. There are no words to somehow ease the pain of the terrible tragedy that occurred. But even in these conditions we need to be human. The majority understands everything. Mourning is sorrow and prayer․
We all have to take a lesson from the tragedy that occurred and do everything to prevent such occurrences in future. We can assure that the perpetrator and those who could stand behind him will be punished.”
