MP Edmon Marukyan wrote in his Facebook Page:
“Based on my former experience as a lawyer and human rights activist, I must say that in the period of 2011 – 2012, I dealt with a number of cases on protection of Russian soldiers who had committed different military in the territory of the Russian base.
The preliminary investigation and the trial of these cases were held in the territory of the Russian military base in Gyumri, by a Russian military investigative body, then by the court of the military garrison which held court cases in the territory of the same base.
Now, as I understand the ongoing developments, the trial of the suspect in Gyumri crime will be held in the same court and after that he will be moved to the RF to serve the sentence there, as it happened in all military cases which I dealt with.”
