According to operative data of NKR Defense Army in the period of 7 – 8 January, the enemy violated the ceasefire regime on the contact line of NKR and Azerbaijanian troops around 400 times. During that period the enemy made around 5500 shots towards the Armenian frontier troops from weapons of different calibers. The enemy’s armed forces used 60 mm grenade launcher (7 bombs) and grenade launchers RPG-7 /5 bombs/ and GP-25 (2 bombs).
Throughout the whole length of confrontation line the frontier troops of the defense Army continue to successfully fulfill their tasks and carry out restrictive actions if needed.
Regarding the recently published on the internet information about fire on peaceful settlements of Azerbaijan by the Karabakh Forces, they are nothing but misinformation. The Artsakh Armed forces only in case of absolute necessity carry out targeted shooting on the frontier positions of the enemy having the aim to suppress their attacks and lawless actions.
Peaceful settlements have not ever been targets for the Defense army. It is due to mention that such behavior was and remains the “monopoly” of Azerbaijani armed forces. And the proofs of such behavior are the regular firing and bombing on the bordering Armenian settlements by the Azerbaijanian armed forces.
