Om 27 December, the NA President Galust Sahakyan in connection with the New Year and Christmas invited to a reception the leaders of the media and the journalists accredited at the Parliament. Welcoming the participants, the NA Speaker congratulated them on the occasion of the New Year and Christmas and noted that over the past years, the joint work with the press has become more efficient, and the society – more informed. The NA President also touched upon the achievements and shortcomings of this year and to the events planned in the 2015, noting in particular that on the eve of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide the role of journalists and the press in the unity of the Armenian people will be considerable.
On the order of the President of the National Assembly Galust Sahakyan, the head of the Public Relations and Information department of the President of RA, A. Saghatelyan was awarded the Medal of Honor of the National Assembly for the significant contribution in the field of public relations and information in public administration.
