Today the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash communities of Yerevan started the trial on Hayk Kyureghyan`s case.
The defendant made shootings in front of the Court on 12 July. At that time the court was holding the trial on the case of Shant Harutyunyan and friends.
The court sitting today started with the announcement of the defendant. H first decided not to stand up, and when judge Armen Bektashyan entered, he was sitting, which made the judge angry who warned that he will invite him out of the court hall. Defendant asked to allow him to explain why he hadn`t stood up. He announced that he didn`t trust the judicial system from the beginning of the trial. “The court is subject to the Government, it`s a court of the regime and not a court of the Republic of Armenia. 90% of the trials infringe the injustice. That`s why I don`t stand”, he said.
Today the court was rescheduled for 01 December.
