On September 8 the Minister of Health of RA Armen Muradyan accepted the members of monitoring committee of National Security Council staff. A week monitoring of activity effectiveness of provision system with medicine of the Ministry of Health of RA will be launched since September 8 by 2014 activity project defined by National Security Council by the President of the Republic of Armenia.
“It is welcoming that the modernist and also the most vulnerable sphere is in the center of attention of National Security Council. WE are ready to support in any question as we ourselves are interested in detecting the existing flows and giving solutions to them” the Minister said.
Armen Muradyan introduced that the only way for giving solutions to many existing problems in the legislative field is the admission of a new law the draft of which was already introduced to the discussion of the Government.
The whole range of medicines will be regulated by the base principles from the projection from production, from imports before reaching the consumer, appropriation of medicine’s import and registration, their expertise in compliance with international demands and so on.
The new law is tending to provide the population with safe, effective, qualified, affordable medicines and with reliable information.
Taking into consideration the experience of different countries for the first time it will be defined that the state can regulate the prices of the basic medicines.
The Minister gave importance to the struggle against fake medicines and the Health state inspectorate has much work to do.
Armen Muradyan mentioned that the ministry succeeded to substantiate with convincing arguments during the discussion held in RA Government that labeling process cannot lead to increase of medicines, as some organizations of pharmaceutical activity sustain.
He introduced also the approach of the Ministry to acquisition of not only more affordable, but also more effective medicines.
For this purpose within the framework of the acting law, in the competition of purchasing of medicines new standards of technique biographies of medicine’s selection will be approved.
Armen Muradyan proposed to the members monitoring committee of National Security Council to visit also to the Republic Center of Humanitarian Assistance.
“There are not unimportant issues for us in the sphere of medicines. We are willing to cooperate over any issue, to make deep analyses and find solutions” the Minister said.
