The ceremonial renewal of the IELTS Official Testing Point Partner Agreement took place at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia.
This exceptional cooperation, which began in 2023, stands above ordinary educational initiatives.
IELTS is one of the most recognized and demanded English language tests worldwide, designed for both higher education and international migration purposes. The test evaluates the four main language skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing, and serves as a gateway to education and career for thousands of applicants.

The ceremonial event was attended by NPUA Rector Gor Vardanyan, British Council ArmeniaBranch Director Adde Hovasapyan, Exam Programs Manager Lilit Kasparyan, representatives from NPUA and the British Council staff, students, and guests.
The attendees were welcomed by Alina Jzmechyan, Chief Specialist of the NPUA International Relations and External Affairs Department, after which Rector Mr. Gor Vardanyan gave a speech.
Gor Vardanyan, NPUA Rector:
“I would like to note that the previous years of our cooperation passed very quickly. We have formed such an institutional cooperation with the British Council that has spread throughout NPUA, thanks to the license provided by the British Council for the operation of the IELTS examination center.
The Polytechnic, as a technological educational complex, places great importance on cooperation with international partners.

This center supports young people by creating a comfortable and accessible environment on their educational leadership path. Through our joint work, we have been able to reach this stage and are now signing the second agreement for continued cooperation.
Dear Mr. Hovasapyan, thank you for your caring participation and partnership. I am confident that this cooperation will bring new initiatives and open new avenues for expanding our activities.”
Adde Hovasapyan, Director of the British Council Armenia Branch:
“The Polytechnic University has been an integral part of the British Council for two years already.
Under Mr. Vardanyan’s leadership, the university is guided by the vision that education should be of high quality not only in its content but also in its structure.
This cooperation is exceptional in the British Council with its successful example. Several countries in the region are now trying to implement this model.”
Lilit Kasparyan, Exam Programs Manager:
“During these years, we have implemented an extensive and comprehensive examination program, which has given applicants the opportunity to have a comfortable, smooth, and quality examination experience.

The examinations organized on all days of the week and various time disclosures became possible with the support of our partner, the Polytechnic.
The center’s staff constantly provides a harmonious and comfortable environment, allowing exam takers to focus on the content.”
The IELTS Official Examination Center at NPUA today can truly be assessed as an educational infrastructure in line with international standards. It is fully equipped with the latest technologies and solutions that meet all the requirements of a modern learning environment. The center has two spacious, bright, and comfortable examination rooms, fully furnished with high-quality furniture and amenities, creating a supportive environment for the applicant to participate in the exam with maximum effectiveness.
The examination rooms are equipped with high-performance computer technology of the latest generation, with 16 and 24 workstations respectively. Each workstation is equipped with a quality screen, high-quality headphones, and a sensitive microphone, fully compliant with IELTS testing requirements for the seamless organization of listening, writing, and speaking modules. High-speed internet connection, as well as a dual power supply system, guarantee the stability and technical security of the examination process.

However, the value of the center is not limited to technical capabilities. A structured and caring environment has been created here, which minimizes the natural tension of the exam as much as possible, allowing the applicant to confidently and in a focused manner reveal the true level of their language skills.
