I have left my Best Friend in Artsakh. We are talking about the Explosion at the Gas Station: Anahit Arzumanyan was deported from Artsakh for the Second Time

Anahit Arzumanyan was actually displaced for the second time from the city of Stepanakert of the Republic of Artsakh, and before that from the village of Togh, Hadrut region. She  told in the framework of “Artsakh: Armenian Genocide 2023. Stories of Survivors” series of Iravaban.net.

He learned about the enemy’s attack from the Internet, because at that time she had just come to Yerevan to continue her education.

First of all, she tried to find out if the rumors were true, but at that moment, she failed to contact her family members and relatives due to the communication failure.

She remembers the days of the siege, smiles, misses. “If they gave me a chance, I would live through the blockade once more, because when you are in your land, the blockade is not a blockade for you, it is an ordinary day; there is no shortage of bread for you, no lack of electricity, no disruption of communications.”

Anahit moved to Armenia about 10 days before the events, but if she had known that these were her last days in her native land, she would never have come.

She told how they crossed the Hakar bridge, witnessing the self-satisfied behavior, looks and other unpleasant phenomena of Azerbaijanis.

Our hero’s eyes full of sadness said: she left a life in Artsakh, a person who lives physically and not spiritually after the loss of her homeland. “Now I live physically, but I do not feel the sweet notes of life that I lived in Artsakh. I left my best friend in Artsakh. We are talking about the explosion at the gas station, I have the impression that he is sitting there, in Artsakh, waiting for us.”

Anahit told about the difficulties of moving here, the problems of living here, the environment, the way of thinking, the dialect.

She carefully collected and preserved the stories and memories she heard from her grandfather, she says she will publish a book, and she has chosen a title.
