According to the operational situation, as of 7:30 p.m., search and rescue and urgent emergency recovery works are continuing, as a result of which 190 people were evacuated from different settlements in Lori and Tavush marzes by rescuers and other involved forces, and 75 were saved. Namely: 223 in Lori Marz and 42 in Tavush.

There are three victims in the disaster zone. The rescuers took out the body of an unidentified citizen near Sanahin Bridge. The body of Avag Avagyan, a resident of Haghtanak settlement (1948), was taken out of the river near the football field of Ptghavan settlement. The body of Saribek Balyan (1985) was taken out of the river near Shnogh village.

In Tavush marz, 2 bridges collapsed, 1 was damaged, 3 residential houses collapsed, 45 houses, 2 hotels, 18 public and other objects were flooded.

25 units of engineering equipment (20 tippers and 5 cranes) were involved in the works by the regional Governor’s Office in Tavush Marz.

As a result of the flooding of the Debed River in Lori Marz, the 31st km of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi section of the M6 ​​highway was flooded, and the section with a length of about 50 m collapsed, 3 bridges crossing the river and 70 buildings of various significance were damaged.

Approach roads to a number of settlements in Lori region, particularly bridges, have been damaged or are under water, but there are alternative roads to all these settlements, and there is an opportunity to deliver essential items. The rescuers are also involved in these works, and they transfer the necessary things and accessories through the underpass.

A meeting of the operational headquarters was held in the city of Alaverdi of Lori marz under the leadership of Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan. The chief of staff, the Director of the Department of Rescue Forces – Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, the Governor of Lori, the Head of the Regional Rescue Department and other officials participated.

According to the Road Department Foundation, drivers are urged to bypass M-6 on the M-3 Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir- RA border and M-1 Yerevan-Gyumri- RA border border interstate highways when going to the Georgian border.

Due to the situation, the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Ayrum-Bagratashen and Dilijan-Ijevan routes are closed.
