In response to the information circulated on social networks and mass media, we inform that the Baghanis-Voskepar highway was closed to ensure the demining works being carried out in the adjacent area and to prevent citizens from entering the nearby mined areas, in order to ensure the safety of the latter.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a statement which reads:

“It is planned to carry out works related to border demarcation in the Baghanis-Voskepar section today.

We also inform that the rumors that any part of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia will be handed over to Azerbaijan do not correspond to reality. We emphasize that no change in the Armenia-Azerbaijan contact line is planned today.

After the demarcation of the border, the protection of the border line will be transferred to the RA Border Guard Troops,” the message states.
