The Ministry of Defense reported that on the night of 5 to 6 April, the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire at the positions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia with varying intensity from different caliber firearms in a number of directions of the border zone.
Iravaban.net spoke with administrative heads of Sotk and Kut communities of Gegharkunik marz. In the conversation with us, the administrative head of Sotk, Sevak Khachatryan, mentioned that they cannot tell definit data, the Ministry of Defense had informed about the places and time. He said that the situation is normal at the moment, there are no shots fired.
The administrative head of Kut village, Grigor Avakyan, said: “At the moment there are concerns, but there is no panic. The situation is stable.”
The Ministry informed that fire was opened between 22:25-22:50 in Sotki (Gegharkunik marz), 23:15 in Verin Shorzha (Gegharkunik marz), and 00:15 in Kuti (Gegharkunik marz), in the period between 23:15-23:20 a Aravus (Syunik marz), at 23:05-23:20 – Chinari (Tavush marz), at 00:15-01:20 – Movses (Tavush) in the direction of RA Armed Forces positions located in the marz sectors.
