The United States administration is trying to get more information about the emergency in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, calling it a terrible attack. John Kirby, White House National Security Communications Advisor, announced this at a regular briefing for journalists. by TASS reported.
“We are trying to get more information but really would refer to Russian authorities to speak to it. The images are just horrible. And just hard to watch and our thoughts obviously are going to be with the victims of this terrible shooting attack,” he stressed.
Kirby also called the incident a “brutal shooting.” “I cannot talk about the details. I mean, all this became known only before I came to you [journalists] here,” the White House spokesman added.
He recalled that the US Embassy in Moscow had previously warned Americans and urged them to “avoid any large concerts, shopping centers, anything like that, just for their own safety.” He stressed that US citizens in Russia “should remain in their places and monitor any additional information from the State Department.”
