The ultimate goal will be the introduction of smart traffic lights. They will provide an opportunity to automatically solve the issue of traffic capacity. Tigran Avinyan, the candidate for the mayor of the Civil Contract, announced during the campaign.
“Priority should be given to public transport. Months ago, I visited Washington and Abu Dhabi to discuss the possibilities of implementing a smart traffic light program. In the case of Washington, to ensure the financial side of the project, Abu Dhabi, taking into account their most successful experience,” he noted.
Tigran Avinyan also referred to the construction of the bypass road of the Sports and Concert Complex.
According to him, at the beginning of the year, the employees of the the Sports and Concert Complex asked to open an important secondary road, which will create an opportunity to evacuate people in case of emergency. “What is being implemented was the request of the Complex,” Avinyan said.
He noted that the statue of Karen Demirchyan will be unveiled on 9 September, and the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the Sports and Concert Complex will also be celebrated.
