It would be a miracle if he was able to sit in bed or in a wheelchair

Participant of the April 2016 war, Hayk Sekhliyan, who miraculously survived, got the opportunity with the support of French-Armenian individuals, to receive the final treatment in Germany 6 years after his severe injury. Before that, in 2019, the Government allocated money and he went to Germany for treatment, which was left incomplete due to a small amount of money.

They said that he had “strained the imagination”, but the big toe was really moving …

When Hayk was in the intensive care unit, the doctors expressed no hope that he would ever walk.

According to the doctors, in case of the biggest miracle, Hayk would be able to just sit in bed.։ Hayk did not “retreat” from life. He already drives a car and works.

Hayk continues to serve in the RA Armed Forces from 2003 up to day. Despite being severely injured, he participated in the 44-day Artsakh war in 2020 as well.

Thanks to the coverage, many people learned about Hayk and had the confidence to donate money to enable him to receive treatment and walk.

French-Armenian Alina Vardanyan, President of the Amitié Franco-Arménienne Var Est Association, French-Armenian Alina Vardanyan, thanks to fundraising that she organized, Hayk went to Germany, emphasizes how important the role of Iravaban.net was; because many people do not believe until they see the result, and currently their confidence and trust in the work of their organizations has increased even more.

“If there were people who doubted, thanks to your help they saw and believed, learned about Hayk,” Alina says.

On 13 September, when the enemy launched an attack in the eastern direction of the RA border, Hayk went to the front line again, this time to Jermuk.

“I was going to the front line and did not know whether I would be able to walk or not”․․․

Now Hayk has devices attached to both of his legs, thanks to which he will be able to walk again without a cane. The cost of the equipment is 14,000 Euros. However, there are some parts on the equipment that need to be changed every month, which implies additional money: 2 pairs cost 100 Euros.
