Azerbaijan has submitted a new interstate complaint to the European Court of Human Rights, Chingiz Askerov, authorized representative at the ECHR, said.  Expert on Azerbaijan Issues Tatev Hayrapetyan informs.

“According to him, “facts about Armenia’s responsibility for the destruction of hundreds of objects of Azerbaijanis in Lachin, Zabukh (Aghavno) and Susa (Sus) in May-August of this year are presented in the complaint.” This is the response to RA’s claim regarding the Lachine Corridor.

This lawsuit reminded me of a speech by Aliyev in August of this year, where he said, speaking about the Armenians living in Sus and Aghavno. “…They are war criminals; let them not try our patience. It is better that they leave upon their own accord. We don’t care where they go.” This statement is one of the many speeches that come to prove that the promises and assurances of the Azerbaijani side to the international community that the Armenian population can live peacefully in Artsakh are complete lies.

On the contrary, if Azerbaijani control over Artsakh is suddenly established, then in a short time people will suffer the fate of the Armenians of Hadrut, Shushi, Sus, Aghavno. Labeling Armenians as “war criminals” is a common phenomenon for Aliyev. It is important that, along with the humanitarian issues, we also emphasize that the realization of the right to self-determination of the people of Artsakh has no alternative. Azerbaijan cannot in any way ensure the security of Armenians, because it is the number one threat to the physical existence of the Artsakh Armenians. We have no shortage of facts to prove it. The blockade of Artsakh has been going on for nine days now, and there are still no solutions in sight…” she said.
