As of 11:00 on 13 September, the intensity of combat operations has decreased, but Azerbaijan’s attacks continue in one or two directions.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced in the National Assembly.

“The Ministry of Defense and the General Staff are assessing the situation, assessing the losses and the adjusted information will be published. I also want to say that, in fact, from the moment when the attack became known, a meeting of the Security Council was held until dawn,” he said.

According to the Prime Minister, based on the results of the session, a decision was made to appeal to the CSTO, and a session of the CSTO Permanent Council is being held on the occasion of that application.

“We have also appealed to Russia, based on the 1997 friendship and mutual assistance agreement, and we have made a decision to appeal to the UN Security Council so that the situation can be discussed as a matter of urgency. During the night, I had phone conversations with the Presidents of Russia, France, Iran, the US Secretary of State, EU Council President Charles Michel, the Minister of Defense had a conversation with its Russian counterpart, and we are now working in these directions to stabilize the situation as quickly as possible.” said Nikol Pashinyan.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia informs that on 13 September, around 00:05, units of the Azerbaijani armed forces, using artillery, mortars and UAVs, opened intense fire at the Armenian positions located in several parts of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at once.

In particular, the positions located in the direction of Sotk, Vardenis, Goris, Kapan, Artanish and Ishkhanasar were shelled. Civilian infrastructures are also being attacked.
