The Parliament elected only two judges of the Anti-Corruption Chamber of the Court of Cassation

During a special session convened on 29 June, the Parliament discussed the issue of selecting a candidate for the vacant position of a judge in the Anti-Corruption Chamber of the Court of Cassation.

Sergey Chichoyan was elected from the first three.

  1. Lusine Abgaryan-0 votes,
  2. Karen Batikyan-0 votes,
  3. Sergey Chichoyan – 67 votes.

Aren Bisharyan was elected from the second three.

  1. Hovhannes Avagyan-0 votes,
  2. Karen Bisharyan -68 votes,
  3. Nelli Harutyunyan-0 votes.

No judge was elected from the 3rd trio, the 2nd round will be held.

  1. Rubik Mkhitaryan -29 votes,
  2. Arsen Nikoghosyan-0 votes,
  3. Artur Sargsyan-33 votes.

Thus, Karen Bisharyan and Sergey Chichoyan were elected judges of the Anti-Corruption Chamber of the Court of Cassation.

Rubik Mkhitaryan and Artur Sargsyan will participate in the second round of elections and a new election will be held.
