Today, on 29 June, the National Assembly elects the RA Prosecutor General. The parliamentary majority nominated Anna Vardapetyan for this position.
In her speech, the candidate mentioned that she separated out 7 issues, which she sees in the pre-trial proceedings.
Notably, on 16 September the term of office of the RA Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan expires. The Prosecutor General shall be elected by the National Assembly upon the proposal of the competent Standing Committee of the National Assembly by at least three-fifths of the total number of votes of the Deputies for a term of six years.
