The procedure for seeking Non-Confidence against the Prime Minister is defined by the Constitution

NA “Armenia” and “With Honor” Opposition Factions are discussing the issue of expressing non-confidence) in Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Thus, in compliance with Article 115 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia:

A draft decision of the National Assembly on seeking non-confidence against the Prime Minister may be submitted by at least one third of the total number of Deputies only in the case when a candidate for a new Prime Minister is simultaneously nominated by the draft decision.

The draft decision of the National Assembly on seeking non-confidence against the Prime Minister shall be put to vote not earlier than forty-eight and not later than seventy-two hours upon the submission thereof. The decision shall be adopted by majority of votes of the total number of Deputies, by roll-call voting.

In case of adoption of the decision, the Prime Minister is considered to have submitted resignation.

Non-confidence may be sought against the Prime Minister not earlier than one year after his or her appointment.

In case the draft decision of the National Assembly on seeking non-confidence against the Prime Minister is not adopted, such draft may be submitted not earlier than after six months.

A draft decision of the National Assembly on seeking non-confidence against the Prime Minister may not be submitted or discussed during state of emergency or martial law.
