The Artsakh Prosecutor’s Office about the incident in Khramort community

Today, the Prosecutor General of the Artsakh Republic Gurgen Nersisyan visited Khramort community of Askeran region, together with the head of the district administration and other officials met with the community residents, listened to their concerns and proposals to eliminate them. Accompanied by the head of the community, the Prosecutor General toured the areas important for ensuring the security of the village and inspected the area.

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Artsakh Republic informs.

The study showed that the Azerbaijani military positions located in the neighborhood of the community are a direct threat to the peaceful coexistence of the population. Shots were fired from these areas at people of agricultural significance and other works. And in recent days, terrorist attacks combined with the use of firearms have been accompanied by active psychological pressure in the form of threats to the population through a mobile loudspeaker. The loudspeaker statements addressed to the civilians contain “threats to leave the territory, to obey the laws of Azerbaijan, to use force. It is noteworthy that although these statements are now considered mere threats, nevertheless, the handwriting and behavior of the Azerbaijani side suggest that there is a great risk of their implementation, and this further emphasizes the need to use all the tools and means available to the state to protect the population.

As a result of the discussion, the residents of the community submitted proposals to the Prosecutor General on the necessary guarantees for security, which will soon be submitted to the relevant bodies, as well as the prosecutor involved in the Russian peacekeeping force.
