David Tonoyan will stay in custody

The Criminal Court of Appeal, presided over by Judge Tigran Simonyan, upheld the motion to extend the detention of former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan for another 2 months.

Notably, Tonoyan is accused of embezzling 2,277,323,840 AMD and committing falsifications and publicly dangerous acts. Detention was chosen as measure of restraint. Davit Galstyan, the head of the company supplying weapons to Armenia, and Stepan Galstyan, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, are also accused in this case, and they are also detained.
