The Vaccine of “Moderna” Company is in Armenia

The 50,000 doses of Spikevax vaccine of the American company “Moderna” donated to the Republic of Armenia by the Government of Lithuania has reached Armenia.

The Ministry of Health reported.

“Thanks to the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, the Ministry of Health and the Ambassador of Lithuania to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė for supporting Armenia in the fight against COVID-19.

We also thank the management of “Flagship Pioneering and Moderna Therapeutics”, Nubar Afeyan, co-founder of the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative, for their efforts to bring the initiative to life.

After distribution, the imported batch will be available in the primary health care and mobile vaccination points.

“Like other vaccines used in Armenia, the Spikevax vaccine is intended for vaccination against coronavirus disease the people over 18 years of age,” the statement said.
