During the government session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that the vaccine protects for 98.5% from infection and hospitalization.

“I understand that the rate of infection in vaccinated people is lower than in cases of re-infection,” the Prime Minister said.

He reminded that the order of the Minister of Health will come into force on 1 October, according to which the citizens without vaccinations will have to take a test twice a month to come to work.

“Ther is a question whether it is possible to set additional financial expenses for people. There is no additional cost for people, because people do not need it, the state takes care that all people receive the vaccine absolutely free of charge, the citizen chooses whether to spend money or not,” Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister said that if they feel the need to be vaccinated again, they will definitely do it.

Pashinyan assured that there will be no shortage of vaccines in Armenia.
