On 30 August, 2021, at 10:35 pm, the Shengavit Police Department received a call informing that there was a body with a gunshot wound in a “Mazda” car parked in front of one of the houses on Artashat Highway in Yerevan.
The Investigative Committee reported.
The body of a man born in 1984 with a gunshot wound to the head and a Walter P 22 pistol with a single bullet in his right hand was found in the interior of the car.
During the inspection of the scene, the body of a man born in 1984 was found with a gunshot wound to the temporal part of the head and a Walter P 22 pistol in his right hand was found inside the car. The pistol contained with one unfired bullet in the magazine.
As a result of the measures taken, it was found out that the man had committed suicide with the pistol he was holding.
A criminal case under Article 110, Part 1, and Article 235, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code has been initiated in the Shengavit Administrative Investigation Division of the Yerevan City Investigation Department of the RA Investigation Committee.
During the preliminary investigation, a number of persons were interrogated and complex forensic-chemical, forensic ballistic and forensic medical examinations were appointed.
The investigation is underway.
