The conflict is not settled, as the issue of the status of Nagorno Karabakh has not been decided yet: Lynne Tracy

US Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracey believes that the aftermath of the recent war in Nagorno-Karabakh has not been solved and the conflict is unresolved, as the status of Nagorno-Karabakh has not yet been decided.

“We will work as a co-chair of the Minsk Group, seeking to de-escalate the situation from those positions, to eliminate incidents, so that it is possible to consider the remaining issues – the post-war settlement and other issues,” Lynn Tracey told reporters in Syunik region. :

Referring to the issues related to security and border incidents, Tracey mentioned that she had expressed her opinion on them, and several positions had been voiced by the US State Department. “I believe you are aware that in July I visited one of the border areas of Gegharkunik region where incidents were being reported. I want to make it clear that we call for the de-escalation of the situation to end the violence as soon as possible,” said Lynn Tracy.

The Ambassador stressed that the solution of these problems is extremely important, especially because the civilians are in the middle of the conflict, their safety and security are endangered, so, taking all this into account, the solution of these issues becomes urgent.
