The US Embassy in Armenia is concerned about incidents on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, particularly in the Yeraskh / Sadarak area.

“The Embassy calls on the parties to ease tensions and create conditions for the resumption of substantive talks,” the statement said.

Earlier, the RA Ministry of Defense reported that in the late evening of 19 July, at 02:00, until 02:00, the Azerbaijani armed forces continued firing at the Armenian positions in the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border without using grenade launchers.

The head of Yeraskh Community Radik Oghikyan, who was organizing the extinguishing of the fire that broke out in the area as a result of the actions of the Azeris, received a gunshot wound after several hours of intense skirmish.

The RA Armed Forces announces that it will not allow any change in the line of contact.
