The leader of the “Bright Armenia” Party Edmon Marukyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“Dear compatriots,

As you know, a special sitting has been convened in the parliament today, the agenda of which includes a number of controversial drafts.

However, there is another newly elected Parliament, which will soon take over the mandates. The current parliament should not adopt new laws; they must be discussed, approved or rejected by the newly formed National Assembly of the 8th convocation.

“Therefore, the “Bright Armenia” faction will not discuss those drafts at the special sitting of the National Assembly convened on that agenda.”
