MP Hayk Sargsyan published a photo from the voting booth: Is this violation of the law?

Hayk Sargsyan, a member of the “My Step” faction of the National Assembly of the 7th convocation, a candidate for the “Civil Contract” party, published a photo from the polling booth of the polling station today, on 20 June.

It should be noted that Article 154 of the Criminal Code stipulates a penalty for violating the secrecy of the ballot, according to which ․

In addition, Article 40․1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses sets out the fines for campaigning on election day or the day before, according to which։ “Campaigning through public speeches and public events on the day before the voting shall result in a fine of 400-600 thousand drams.

Campaigning through the print media, radio and television broadcasting (including satellite broadcasting) or the Internet on the day before the election and on the day before the election shall result in a fine of 500-700 thousand drams against the person or manager conducting the media.”
