The decision of the Central Electoral Commission of 24 May enters into force on 3 June.
The decision of the CEC refers to the identification of the voter.
It has been established that during the 20 June, 2021 extraordinary elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, in order to verify the voter’s identity through the photo in the submitted document, the specialist requires the voter to remove the medical mask or other means of personal protection that make voter identification impossible.
If the voter refuses to remove the mask or other means of personal protection that make voter identification impossible, the specialist shall not insert the submitted document into the technical equipment and shall immediately inform the chairperson of the commission, who shall invite the voter out of the polling station.
