According to the 1 June decision of the Supreme Judicial Council, on 31 May, 2021, the powers of Judge Levon Arazyan of the Court of First Instance of Ararat-Vayots Dzor Marzes were terminated due to the entry into force of the indictment.

Iravaban.net reports that Levon Arazyan was found guilty of committing a crime under Article 311, Part 4, Clause 3 of the RA Criminal Code (receiving a bribe by a judge), and was sentenced to 7 years in prison without confiscation of property.

It should be noted that the defendant’s appeals to the Court of Appeal and the Court of Cassation were rejected.
