The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has spread another misinformation։ The RA Ministry of Defense

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has spread another misinformation, according to which 40 Armenian servicemen crossed the border into Azerbaijan on the evening of 1 June, after which the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces “forced them to return to their starting positions.”

The RA Ministry of Defense informed.

It is obvious that such misinformation is being circulated by the Azeri military-political leadership in order to counterbalance the provocation of the Armenian armed forces to try to aggravate the Armenian-Azerbaijani border situation, to counterbalance the provocation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces which have enter the Republic of Armenia on 12-13 May.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia states that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia did not cross the border of the Republic of Azerbaijan, neither on 1 June, nor in the days preceding it: and all the allegations about it are misinformation spread by that country’s defense ministry, the volume of which has recently increased significantly.

In particular, a few days ago the Azeri Defense Ministry claimed that the Armenian side opened fire both on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and on the Azeri positions in the direction of Shushi, which was denied, respectively, by the Armenian Defense Ministry and the command of the Russian peacekeeping mission in the Artsakh Republic.
