On 30 March, the the President of the National Assembly of Artsak Republic Arthur Tovmasyan visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Babayan. The Artsakh National Assembly reported.
“Issues related to the country’s foreign policy priorities were discussed. Arthur Tovmasyan referred to the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ara Ayvazyan, during which the main theses voiced, according to the head of the parliament, are in line with the new realities.
Today, the security of Artsakh is the number one issue. The recent activity of the Azerbaijanis, so to speak, cannot go unanswered. We are talking about the cases of stoning Armenian cars,” Arthur Tovmasyan said.
The need to raise these other issues on the agenda in international forums was discussed.
The NA President stressed the process of settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, also noted the necessity of further development and deepening of relations with different countries, in particular, with the Russian Federation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Artsakh Republic Davit Babayan highlighted the parliamentary diplomacy as one of the important components of the foreign policy.
“We must use all internal resources, create a strong backing to be strong on the external front,” he said.
