The epidemic situation of coronavirus disease remains tense both in the world and in the Republic of Armenia. The Ministry of Health reported.

“As of 18 March, 2021, 181,165 cases were registered in Armenia, of which 9,830 (5.4%) received treatment, 167,186 (92.3%) persons recovered, in 3,301 cases of death occurred, the mortality rate was 1.8 %:

During the last 14 days 7,858 cases of the disease were registered, which increased by 125% as compared to the same period of the previous period (3,487 cases).

The rate of infection reproduction (7 days) as of 16 March, 2021 is 1.48, which means that if both the population and businesses do not follow safety rules, in particular, wearing a mask in an open area, disinfecting hands or washing with soap, as well as maintaining a social distance of at least 1.5 meters, about 6,820 new cases of the disease will be registered in the next 7 days, which is about 69% of those receiving treatment today.

Particular attention should be paid to the detection of coronavirus contact cases in closed organizations, compliance with the requirements set by the order of the Minister of Health 17-N, in particular, for the work is organized remotely for 14 days, in case of impossibility on a rotating basis, and in case of impossibility, a change in working conditions in the workplace is needed to exclude or minimize contact with other employees,” the statement said.
