On 17 February, the office of RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan issued a statement that a regular sitting of the working group on Artsakh restoration was held in the Government.

“This year according to the agreement reached during the meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister and the representatives of the people of Kashatagh on 3 February, the representatives of the people of Kashatagh were invited to the meeting of the working group,” the statement said.

In a conversation with Iravaban.net, the executive director of “Return to Kashatagh” NGO Karine Movsesyan mentioned that they were not involved in the working group.

“Return to Kashatagh” NGO was established to deal with the rights as well as legal and social issues of the displaced persons from the Kashatagh community of Artsakh, which is now under the control of Azerbaijan. “We appealed to the government, with request to cooperate with the formed working group on Artsakh, so that one person from our non-governmental organization could be included in the commission, to be able to follow the work, its process, the issues discussed and the expected solutions,” she said.

According to the executive director of the NGO, two representatives from the southern part of Kashatagh region should have been included in that commission.

“Mher Grigoryan’s aide called me and informed that it was no longer possible to include one member in the commission. He suggested that if possible to leave only one person to be from the two which should represent the Kashatagh region in the working group, so that only one person should represent our non-governmental organization. I know one of those people, I do not know who the other is, and he is from Kashatakgh region. After that I did not contact Mher Grigoryan’s staff. We considered it is not nice when someone should give his place to another, our organization does not consider it right. They offered it verbally, of course, we did not participate in those discussions, but we applied in writing to provide us with those minutes,” Karine Movsesyan said.

It should be noted that we tried to contact Mher Grigoryan’s assistant, but our phone call went unanswered.
