RA Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan sees no reason for Turkey to close the state border with Armenia. Ayvazyan said this during a question-and-answer session with the government in the National Assembly, answering the question of independent deputy Gor Gevorgyan.
“I think that Turkey, under the pressure of the international community, should gradually return to normal process, there is no other reason to impose a blockade on Armenia. The blockade was conditioned by the status quo in Artsakh, which was changed through the use of force. “Turkey has no other reason to keep the border with Armenia closed,” Ayvazyan said.
Ara Ayvazyan added that the main goal of the government is to do everything possible to strengthen the security atmosphere around Armenia and Artsakh.
