RA Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“Our discussions with the residents and community bodies in Kapan revealed important data that are directly related to human rights (right to life, property, etc.) in the border demarcation process.

There are data that in 1985-1986, the joint commission set up with Azerbaijan, for example, carried out demarcations with special concrete columns in the villages of the Kapan region. On them, for example, there is the hammer and sickle of the USSR.

As the citizens noted, it was important from the point of view of the rights of the border residents.

I think these questions will also be useful. We will present these issues separately to our partners, the competent bodies of the Republic of Armenia.”
