On 5 January, within the framework of his working visit to Artsakh, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ara Ayvazyan met with the President of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan. The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Minister Ayvazyan highlighted the role of intensive interactions and consultations between the relevant bodies of Artsakh and Armenia at different levels, to address issues of mutual importance as an effective format on the spot and to outline the framework for further cooperation in the current conditions.
President Harutyunyan and Minister Ayvazyan held a comprehensive discussion on the implementation of the provisions of the statement signed on November 9 to stop the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh, including the safe repatriation of prisoners and hostages and the establishment of stability and peace in the conflict zone.
The key topics on the agenda were the settlement of the humanitarian situation in Artsakh as a result of the war, including programs to create conditions for the return of Armenians displaced by the war to their homes, rehabilitation of damaged infrastructure, and elimination of socio-economic consequences.
