Independent MP of the National Assembly Arman Babajanyan writes on his Facebook page:

“Just one tip for those who talk about a federal state with Russia: According to a 2019 survey by the Russian Levada Analytical Center non-governmental research organization, 53% of young people aged 18-24 in Russia want to leave the country and live abroad.

No one disputes Russia’s power and significance in our region. We must work with Russia, but not at the expense of Armenia’s sovereignty.

“Armenia must find the right balance of work with Russia. We should not try to move away from Russia so much that we will suffer so much so that that we will have to come closer so that we will damage Armenia’s sovereignty.”
