The President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“I learned with deep sorrow about the death of Aziz Tamoyan, the President of the Yezidi National Union ULE. He has a great merit in ensuring the harmonious coexistence and high friendship of the Yezidi and Armenian peoples, expressing himself as a full-fledged and responsible citizen of the Republic of Armenia.

Just three months ago, I received a delegation led by Aziz Tamoyan, who visited Artsakh to join the sacred cause of defending the Homeland. We thank him and the whole Yezidi people for their unconditional support for Artsakh during difficult challenges.

On behalf of the citizens of the Artsakh Republic and myself, I convey our heartfelt condolences to the relatives of Aziz Tamoyan and the Yezidi people on this grave loss.”
